Thinking outside the box, the local chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society chose a theme to set the stage for a lively hosted Martini Night to recognize corporate partners and private fundraisers. Never needing and excuse to break out the LBD and accessorize with flirty red heels (natch!), I was ready to “Paint the Town Red! to end MS” – the theme for the cocktail party and events for the Society in this upcoming year.

What a treat to see everyone decked out in red and black for the party! There were red dresses, red ties, and even red gloved hostesses serving festive drinks, oh my! My red martini was the perfect cocktail to mingle with, and as I walked around the room admiring the details. Centerpieces staged with mini red paint cans filled with red and white carnations and floating candles set atop over-sized martini glasses filled with red-hued water. Olives were even skewered with mini paintbrushes to adorn the martini glasses – how clever!
My favorite was the paint can and brushes sporting the charity logo in the middle of the dessert table – although I almost missed it at first glance surrounded with all of the decadent desserts: chocolate covered strawberries, red velvet cupcakes, creamy cheesecakes, sugar cookies with red sprinkles…where do I dig in?
