Easter game ideas

What occasion has almost as much eager anticipation as waking up on Christmas morning?  Easter!  In fact, with the trail of puzzles and games the Easter Bunny leaves behind, it might actually be better.  Being the puzzler that I am, I couldn’t wait to hunt for the stash of Easter eggs hidden outside, left behind by the Easter Bunny hopping along his merry way.

Easter at our house was not for amateurs.  I am not sure what got into my parents; maybe it was their inner serial killer coming out, but hiding eggs was like destroying evidence from a crime scene.  The real motivator was probably to keep us searching outside as long as possible, or to get us warmed up for the main event – the Easter treasure hunt.  By solving a series of riddles, each leading to the next clue hidden about the house, the trail ultimately lead to a cache of pastel hued treasure.  If you don’t have time to set this up, check out the inCLUEsive treasure hunt game, where all the heavy lifting has already been done.

Along with an Easter basket full of socks and chocolate bunnies, Easter is one of my favorite occasions.  What are your fond Easter game memories?  Leave a comment and let us know some of your faves.  In the meantime, click here  for some more inspirational ideas.
