halloween haunted attractions

These last few days leading up to Halloween are the time to really get into the holiday spirit.  And to scare the wits out of yourself, of course!  People devote the entire year to concocting the most creative, spookiest and frightening attractions imaginable.  So now is the perfect time to visit your  local haunted house, walk or maze to send chills up your spine, elicit hysteria and possibly reoccurring nightmares…

Never mind scary costumes, there are far better and chilling ways to get your thrill on. There are dozens of Haunted attractions across the country that can scare the absolute crap out of you.  Having organized a group outing to the Haunted Trail in San Diego last year, we were able to dispel the common notion that there is safety in numbers.  Holy wet-your-pants scary, Batman.  This is how I discovered that when confronting a life or death scenario (seriously!), I submit to hysterical laughter. How reassuring…

Recently there has been a spate of Zombie related attractions that have peaked my curiosity.  How about a zombie crawl, run, or prom night?  Yes, please!  Ever wondered how you would fare during the zombie apocalypse?  Sign up for a “Run for your Life” 5km event where you run through an obstacle course chased by hordes of the undead.  Or, if you can’t beat them, join them by reliving your prom night as a zombie that would make Carrie proud.

Check out hauntworld.com for a list of Halloween-worthy attractions by state.

Whether your lead up to Halloween is spent trying to escape a corn maze in the black of night or perusing the decorations in your neighbors front lawn, get out there and enjoy!
